Appearance:  L'dyr is pretty tall and well built
                  from turns of hard work.  He has mussed brown hair that's thick and falls into
                  his eyes constantly.  It reaches to his ears and a bit down the nape of his
                  neck.  Clear blue eyes are a vivid and somewhat startling feature. A scar
                  rests across the brodge of his nose, and one across his left cheek.  A score
                  of inch-long scars trail down his left arm in a disorderly fashion and a few
                  small ones on his left flank.

    Personality:  A very somber individual, L'dyr gives
                   off an aura of sadness.  He tends to reject attempts at friendship, and
                   hasn't had a weyrmate or activily participated in a flight in the last
                   seven turns.  He does, however, make an excellent leader and commander, making
                   wise snap decisions during threadfall.  He often does hard manual labor that is
                   considered below a dragonrider with a single-mindedness that is impressive.
                   He tends to wear himself down to exhaustion to keep his mind off depression and guilt.

    History:  L'dyr was born at Nabol hold and raised
               there until he was 15, when he was searched. Since 12 turns of age he had
               been apprenticed to a healer, and continued his studies until he turned
               25, by which time he was considered of journeyman statues. He stood at Telgar
               Weyr, where he impressed brown Isanth, fifth to hatch and last to impress.
               After graduation he was weyrmated to Wistyn, rider of green Quenith.
               Because of his excellent service, L'dyr earned the position of wingsecond
               quickly enough, where he remained for 7 turns. Unfortunatly, during threadfall
               one fateful day, Quenith and Wistyn went down and between. Isanth and L'dyr
               attempted to save them, but it was too late. When they reappeared from
               between, they were caught in a heavy onslaught of thread on their left side
               and went down hard. They recovered well enough, with
               miraculously little scarring, but after the loss of his beloved weyrmate, L'dyr
               changed for the worst. He became introverted, immersing himself in as
               much work as possible, and gave up his wingsecond position.
               Worried, the weyrleader sent him to Tanora, hoping the change in atmosphere
               would help him out.

    Dragon description:  Isanth is large and cheerful, always looking on the bright side (which is
                          hard, considering his rider).  His left side is peppered with scars that are
                          lighter than the rest of his deep brown hide. His left wing is almost entirely
                          composed of such scars.  Despite that, he's excellent in the air; fast and
                          agile, with amazing manuvering for a brown of his impressive size.  Kind and
                          flirtatious, he is always trying to play matchmaker for L'dyr.
